Sushang is a four-star DPS who can become your go-to boss killer if you are struggling against the toughest foes in the game, and this Honkai Star Rail Sushang build will help solidify her as a pivotal boss-killing pick. She is an excellent alternative to five-star single-target boss killers and is a must-have for free-to-play accounts.
Sushang works very well with buffs and you can take down elite enemies or bosses with ease. She can advance her own attacks and deal tons of physical damage, making her useful when you are taking on hard content. Building her won't be easy, but she doesn't need to be maxed out to shine.
How to get Sushang in Honkai Star Rail
Sushang, a four-star character, can be obtained through any available banner in Honkai Star Rail right now. She may feature as a rate-up unit in a five-star banner going forward, however, so hold onto your Stellar Jade if you're looking to max her out.
The best Honkai Star Rail Sushang build
Before we go deeper into the build, check our Honkai Star Rail Yanqing build guide to see how Sushang fares against her five-star counterpart. We also have a guide on how to get more Stellar Jades, in case you need some more summons to have a well-rounded roster.
Best light cone for Sushang
Sushang has a signature four-star light cone called Swordplay that synergizes well with her kit. The light cone is great for situations where you are dealing with a single enemy and it helps Sushang stack her damage if she keeps targeting the same enemy. If you do not have access to Swordplay, you can go for Adversarial which helps Sushang gain tons of attack speed as she keeps defeating enemies.
Swordplay: Each time the wearer hits the same target, DMG dealt increases by 8%, stacking up to 5 time(s). This effect will be dispelled when the wearer changes targets.
Adversarial: When the wearer defeats an enemy, increases SPD by 10% for 2 turn(s).
Best relics for Sushang
There are some great options available to Sushang when it comes to relics. You can go for the commonly used Musketeer of Wild Wheat, which is a generalist set that works well on most units, or you can maximize her physical damage with Champion of Streetwise Boxing. Since Sushang is a Physical damage dealer, she can break shields easily and you can use Thief of Shooting Meteor to increase her break effect if you use her as a sub-DPS.
Musketeer of Wild Wheat
- 2-Piece Bonus: ATK increases by 10%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: The wearer's SPD increases by 6% and Basic ATK DMG increases by 10%.
Champion of Streetwise Boxing
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases Physical DMG by 10%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: After the wearer attacks or is hit, their ATK increases by 5% for the rest of the battle. This effect can stack up to 5 times.
Thief of Shooting Meteor
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases Break Effect by 20%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 20%. When the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy, regenerates 3 Energy.
Sushang does not need any energy regeneration and you can focus all your relic stats into damage. You want to get as much crit rate and crit damage as possible along with some attack, speed, and break.
What are Sushang’s abilities?
When using Sushang, you want to maximize her Sword Stance stacks for maximum damage. Unlocking her third trace as quickly as possible is also strongly recommended as her actions are advanced forward by 15% when you apply Weakness Break.
