While we’re all fairly attuned to the standard loadouts of modern day shooters, Immortals of Aveum magic types are a novel system even for veterans of the genre. It might not be immediately apparent what each of these magic types have to offer or when and how to use them.

In Immortals of Aveum, you play as a Triarch Magnus, a rare type of mage with the ability to wield the full spectrum of magic: Red chaos magic, Blue force magic, and Green life magic. What is Green life magic in Immortals of Aveum?

Primary attacks: Seekershards, Stormshards, Maelstorm

Green life magic delivers a rapid volley that can chip away at your enemies. While it does have its applications in combat, you’ll likely primarily wield basic Green life magic to do things like harvesting resources.

What is the best magic type in Immortals of Aveum?

Red chaos magic has the best applicability in most combat scenarios in Immortals of Aveum. Like a shotgun, its short range is made up for by its sheer power. The downsides of Red chaos magic are lessened by the fact that the majority of fights happen in close quarters. Battle arenas are fairly compact, and your high speed means you can efficiently tighten any gaps your opponent attempts to create between you.

However, it’s important to note that when ripping through enemy shields, it's far more effective to use magic that matches that of your foe. You’ll likely arrive at one or two types which particularly mesh well with your personal play style, but you can’t discount the situational value of diversifying your approach.

As mentioned before, you can combine magic types in your attacks. This is especially relevant as you start to harness magic types with Totems. Through Totems, you’ll unlock variations of Blue and Green magic that pull enemies towards you or hinder their movement speed. It can be seriously effective to use these approaches to immobilise your opponent before unleashing a beastly attack of Red chaos on them. That synergy is magic.

As well as that, all three magic types can be jointly channelled into an ultimate or Dominion spell called Immolate. This super powerful beam attack is ideal for controlling crowds or dealing massive damage on an especially strong opponent.
