Although it wasn't a spectacular year in gaming, 2024 isn't over yet. Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will finally be released on December 9 for PC and Xbox consoles.
Most critics and reviewers think that this game from MachineGames and Bethesda Softworks best complements the movie franchise.
With the official reviews coming out in several hours, many critics have already praised the game for its faithfulness to the movies, which has even prompted some critics to rewatch them.

Indiana and the Great Circle is a first-person action-adventure game that strays from the usual third-person view of Nathan Drake or Lara Croft. As players progress through the game using Indy's whips and various tools, they feel like Indiana Jones themselves.
The embargo for the official reviews will be lifted later in the day. Still, Metacritic's summary of the recent previews already showcases that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be a promising game.
However, not everyone is convinced about how the game tried to capture the intense action seen in the movies. While the game is somehow an Indiana Jones movie at heart, there's more to be seen beyond the limited previews observed by the critics and reviewers.
Set between the events of the movies Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the game introduces a younger Indiana in his prime. It will also feature a mix of different gameplay styles such as stealth and puzzle-solving.
Whether Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will finally satisfy the cravings of Uncharted and Tomb Raider fans will be revealed as the game enters early access on December 5 or December 6, depending on your location.
