Details about Insomniac’s Wolverine game were leaked late last year and that wasn’t the worst of it, as employees also had their information made public. While it’s a shame that the leak happened at all, knowing some of the cool stuff coming to the game is exciting, like Logan’s real-time damage and healing.

The leak is still available in various places, like the Gaming Leaks subreddit, and details on Wolverine’s healing factor were shown off. According to Reddit poster ishowbozo, the healing will be similar to the X-Men Origins: Wolverine game on PS3 and Xbox 360, but on a whole other level.

“Can’t wait to see what the final look for this,” said the poster. “Imagine the “X-Men Origins Wolverine” regeneration system but remastered and reworked to look more visually real. This is going to be great.”

Just thinking about the Marvel character’s healing factor with current-gen technology has a ton of X-Men fans salivating over this title. We’ve already seen some promising gameplay, even if it was leaked, so more of these details do sound enticing. Here’s hoping that Insomniac will get to show how this feature will look in a future show or conference.

Considering the success of Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, there’s a reason why so many fans are excited to see Wolverine in action. It’s clear that the company loves Marvel lore quite a bit and seeing what they come up with for this X-Men icon will be worth the wait.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was a huge hit for Insomniac, becoming the company’s highest-rated game and selling a ton of copies. Critics and fans praised the gameplay quite a bit, so future DLC looks promising, especially if the rumours of them being free are true. Let’s also hope that more costumes are added to the sequel since there are arguably too many movie suits.
