Wizards of the West Coast and Capcom have announced new crossover cards for Magic: The Gathering. Offering a limited edition series called Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x Street Fighter, that's a timely crossover given Capcom's announcement of Street Fighter 6 earlier today.
That crossover focuses on the core Street Fighter 2 roster, with cards for the game’s eight characters confirmed and ready for pre-orders. These include special card effects based on the fighters, including a “multikicker effect” for Chun-Li as a tribute to her signature style.
Magic: The Gathering Announces Limited-Edition Street Fighter Cards
Here’s what Wizards of the West Coast Product Architect Mark Heggen had to say about the Magic: The Gathering crossover with Street Fighter:
“Street Fighter and Magic: The Gathering come from very different genres, but we’ve both been bringing amazing characters, rich gameplay, and social connections to our fans for decades. We’re lifelong fans of Street Fighter, and this partnership has been a dream come true. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to get back to tuning my absolutely unstoppable Blanka deck.”
Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair x Street Fighter drop is available now for pre-order. No release date for this set was provided, though we'd expect it to be announced soon.
