What is the best team in Mario and Rabbids Sparks of Hope?

If you're looking to make a good team in Mario and Rabbids Sparks of Hope, you need to think about how characters work together. You'll have to consider what each character is good at, and how those skills can work together. For instance, Rabbid Mario is at his best when taking damage and being up close. This pairs well with Peach, who can give shields to him.

One fantastic combo combo is Mario with plenty of movement and multiple shots, Edge with upgraded dash abilities, and Peach with a focus on healing and range.

Before settling on your team composition, think of how you want to play, and how characters add to this.

Mario

Best use: Ranged fighter using jumps and dashes

Mario has great movement skills, a decent spread of attacks, and a special ability capable of locking down areas. You can focus on doing multiple jumps in one turn or use his special ability to scare enemies away from certain areas. He works well alongside a good healer, or someone else with good movement capabilities.

Rabbid Peach

Best use: Healer

Rabbid Peach is a great healer. She can do a lot of damage from range, or use movement skills to get away. However, her primary goal should be keeping characters alive. You can pump up the range on healing and some of her movement to make her a combat medic. Pair her with brawlers.

Bowser

Best use: Heavy shots and environmental destruction

Bowser is all about destruction. He uses tonnes of explosives and can ground pound in a wide arc. He works well with AOE damage, and should be paired with a healer and a sniper. For this reason, it may be worth bringing Luigi along.

Rabbid Rosalina

Best use: Locking down enemies and breaking obstacles

Rabbid Rosalina can lock down enemies with her special and tear down structures with her attacks. Focus on her special ability and critical hit chance to disrupt the battlefield as much as you possibly can. She also works well as a support to heroes who can make themselves vulnerable.

Rabbid Luigi

Best use: Pinging multiple enemies and disrupting

Rabbid Luigi can string attacks together, but can be a little inconsistent. He is good at getting into the centre, weakening all enemies, then pinging them all for a little damage. With Peach's shields, he can justify getting up close a lot more often.

Peach

Best use: Placing shields on allies

Peach is at her best when constantly giving your team barriers. Her shotgun blast weapon is great but needs to be close to get the most out of it. She should focus on saving allies and using her shotgun when cornered. Pair her with Rabbid Luigi or Rabbid Mario to justify sending them into the middle of the battlefield.

Rabbid Mario

Best use: Close range hits and counter attacks

Rabbid Mario is at his best when getting into clsoe-range skirmishes and doing tonnes of damage. He is the only character that can hit people on the ground and still move, meaning he benefits from protection. His counter-move makes him great when taking all of the attention from enemies. Make sure to pair him with support characters who can heal or defend him.

Luigi

Best use: Sniper

Luigi is an excellent sniper with the best range in the game. Like Mario, he has the ability to lock down an area with defensive fire. You should focus on his range abilities, and give him multiple uses of his special. He is a good support character to protect one of the more close-range attackers.

Edge

Best use: Close range, lots of dashes

Edge is at her best when focusing on her dash ability. You can do multiple dashes in a turn, further extending her movement capabilities with each hit. If you plan out moves well, you can traverse the entire battlefield. She works really well with Mario, due to his jumping abilities. You can run up close, let him bounce off you, then move to a safe place.
