NetEase’s Marvel Rivals can’t seem to catch a break from persistent leakers. Even when they attempt to plant fake information to fool them, dataminers continue uncovering new details within the game files — including what appear to be abilities for the upcoming X-Men roster.
Here are the leaked character abilities for the upcoming heroes, according to @X0X_LEAK on X (formerly Twitter).
While the leaks may seem solid, take every tidbit of information with a grain of salt as these are still unconfirmed.
Professor X
Professor X appears to have a team-up ability called X-Men Collection, though its exact function remains unknown.
As a Strategist, his other abilities, Potential Stimulation and Mind Projection, both leverage his telepathic powers. This suggests he has the potential to be a powerful disruptor, creating illusions and obstructing the enemy’s line of sight.
Gambit
Gambit’s abilities revolve around his signature kinetic energy manipulation. As a Duelist, he possesses an ability called Kinetic Energy Card, likely his basic attack, which can be enhanced with another skill, Energy Accumulation.
While his general playstyle remain a mystery, he appears capable of dealing significant damage, possibly stacking energy for devastating attacks. His playstyle could resemble Doctor Strange’s Maelstrom of Madness, but without any anti-heal drawbacks.
Nightcrawler
Kurt Wagner’s teleportation ability is a crucial part of his kit, yet the only datamined abilities so far focus on his swordsmanship. Nightcrawler can reportedly switch between two fighting styles, Epee Style and Foil Style. His teleportation ability, Phase Shift, likely enables him to escape combat before the enemy team even realizes what happened.
Rogue
Rogue is perhaps the most unique hero revealed in the leaks. She is categorized as a Strategist, puzzling many players. However, dataminers suggest her kit allows her to copy abilities from other heroes in the game, making her a potential meta-defining character. Imagine Rogue stealing healing abilities from other Strategists — her versatility could be game-changing.
From what we can speculate, she starts as a blank slate when the match begins, gaining new skills during team fights. Whether these are acquired through cooldowns or an ultimate ability remains uncertain.
Jubilee
Marvel fans are well acquainted with Jubilation Lee. Her youthful energy and love for pyrotechnics make her a formidable opponent on the battlefield.
Her leaked abilities primarily revolve around her mutant fireworks powers. Notably, she has a skill called Atomic Bomb and an upgraded version, Atomic Bomb-Excitation. While details remain scarce, these sound extremely high-damaging.
Other Leaked Heroes
The leaks also mention Colossus and Beast, both likely Vanguards who contribute to their teams with sheer strength and intellect, respectively.
Additionally, Jia Jing, an upcoming Strategist, has been revealed. She possesses abilities such as Fairy Wings and Fairy Healing to assist allies.
Another set of non-mainstream heroes includes Paste Pot Pete and Locus, Paste Pot Pete’s abilities, Sticky Bombs and Glue Lasso, seem designed to disrupt enemy movements, whereas Locus has Energy Lock and a skill that can fortify or destroy structures.
While these leaks are intriguing, it’s always wise to take them with a grain of salt. NetEase could decide to scrap or replace these heroes before their official release. For more Marvel Rivals content, check out our leaked heroes list here.
