Mortal Kombat 1's release is finally upon us, and players are excited not only for the brutality of its gameplay but also for the voice cast coming to the game. With a variety of characters coming to the game, we've compiled a list of Mortal Kombat 1 voice actors for your reference.
Some very special voice actors were recently revealed to be making an appearance as the DLC characters for Mortal Kombat 1. Bringing in various fighters from different universes, Mortal Kombat 1 is about to get even more savage and intense.

Mortal Kombat 1 voice actors
The voice cast for Mortal Kombat 1 is about to get even more explosive. Recently Ed Boon, Mortal Kombat's creative director was spotted making an announcement during the second-day livestream of Gamescom 2023 wherein he mentioned some notable actors coming onto the game to voice iconic characters.
Here's the list of characters and their voice actors we've confirmed so far who are voicing for Mortal Kombat 1. We'll continue to update this once new information comes in for other characters.
Smoke
First off is Smoke. He'll be voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who is known for his work such as Spider-Man in Spider-Man 2, Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto, and Barnaby Brooks Jr. from Tiger & Bunny.
Homelander
In the American satirical superhero television series The Boys, Homelander is the egotistical and sadistic leader of The Seven, a group of superheroes under Vought International. In both the live-action show and Diabolical, the animated anthology, Anthony Starr plays Homelander and voices him.
It's no doubt that Anthony Starr may come on to voice his character as well for the Mortal Kombat 1 game, but this has neither been confirmed or denied yet by Boon.
Tanya
Next is Tanya, an Edenian who serves as a minor antagonist in the Mortal Kombat series. She is voiced by Cherise Boothe, who has done work as Sojourn in Overwatch 2, Taissa for Diablo 4, and Mahalia in Fast & Furious Crossroads.
Johnny Cage
For Johnny Cage, Andrew Bowen will be voicing him again for Mortal Kombat 1. He voiced the same character for the game's previous instalment. He's also known for voicing other characters in the franchise such as Smoke and Rain in Mortal Kombat X.
Li Mei
Like Andrew Bowen, Li Mei's voice actor, Kelly Hu is reputable in voicing for the game series. She voiced for D'vorah in Mortal Kombat 11, and Frost and Sindel in Mortal Kombat X.
Omni-Man
From the animated superhero series Invincible, Omni-Man is Mark Grayson's super-powered father and the most powerful being on the planet. The legendary JK Simmons, who voices the character for the series, comes aboard Mortal Kombat 1 to voice Omni-Man as a DLC character as well.
Peacemaker
Also announced during Gamescom 2023, John Cena will be a voice actor in Mortal Kombat 1. He'll be voicing Peacemaker as a DLC character and the actor has quite a formidable portfolio of voice work already. He played Rocksteady in the recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem movie, and Hulk in Marvel Avengers Academy.
Liu Kang
Mathew Yang King returns as Liu Kang for Mortal Kombat 1. He voiced the same character in the previous game and also voiced Fujin. Moreover, he has done work as Illidan Stormrage in World of Warcraft.
Raiden
For Raiden, Vincent Rodrigez III will be his voice actor. He has voiced characters such as Li Jing in Ne Zha, Ansel Beauregard in Arlo the Alligator Boy, and has done additional voice work for the Disney movie Raya and the Last Dragon.
Kung Lao
Most people today might know Sunil Malhortra for his voice work in Riot Games titles, such as Akshan in League of Legends and Harbor in Valorant. He'll be voicing Kung Lao once again in this instalment.
Kitana
Kari Wahlgren also returns as Kitana's voice actor for the game. She has done work as both Kitana and Mileena from Mortal Kombat 11. Moreover, she worked as Harley Quinn in Gotham Knights in 2022.
Scorpion
Prominent for some of his voice work in video games, Daisuke Tsuji is voicing Scorpion in Mortal Kombat 1. He's worked on Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
Sub-Zero
Mainly known for his voice work in anime, Kaiji Tang is not one to miss by anime fans. He'll be voicing Sub-Zero, and he's known for his works in Street Fighter 6, Satoru Gojo in the Jujutsu Kaisen series, and Osamu Dazai in Bungo Stray Dogs.
Shang Tsung
Another notable anime voice actor, Alan Lee will be voicing Shang Tsung. He's voiced characters such as Suiryu in One Punch Man, Kamanue in Demon Slayer, and Terunosuke Miyamoto in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable.
Kenshi
Then we have Vic Chao as Kenshi once again. He has voiced Tseng back in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and Sektor in Mortal Kombat X.
Rain
Also known in the voice acting community, Noshir Dalal comes aboard as Rain for this game. He has voiced Charles Smith in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Knight Rhys in Fallout 4.
Baraka
Next is Baraka, who is voiced by Steve Blum. He has worked as a voice actor for Mephisto in Diablo 4, and Reptile and Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat X.
Nitara
The evil demon Nitara is voiced by an incredibly familiar face, Megan Fox. After her appearance in Diablo 4 marketing earlier this year, it seems the veteran actor, known mostly for the Transformers series, is making the switch to gaming.
