New NFT Games

There are plenty of upcoming NFT games set to launch on various blockchains in the near future.

Here’s a selection of top NFT titles coming soon.

The Sandbox

Initially a mobile title, The Sandbox is Animoca Brands' next play-to-earn title, following an investment into the game's rebuilding.

The Sandbox and its LAND exploded in late 2021 after the metaverse concept became a trending topic online.

Players will build this on LAND - The Sandbox's digital plots - which they can then monetise or sell in exchange for SAND - The Sandbox's token.

As for its gaming aspects, this voxel-based world allows players to create games or content on top of their LAND.

The first public alpha launched in November 2021, lasting until December 20. In 2022, we can expect further testing, the launch of The Sandbox's DAO, and a mobile launch, according to its roadmap.

Shiba Eternity

In the latest Shiba inu news today, alongside the Shiba Inu metaverse, the Shiba inu roadmap includes launching two Shiba Inu Games in 2022. Developed by Playside Studios, these games will be split between a mobile game and a blockchain version.

The SHIB-based games will join the other NFT card games, as it is set to launch with collections of SHIB-themed cards for players. The Shiboshi NFTs will also have some role in the games.

There is no concrete release date for the games just yet, but the latest information from Shiba lead Shytoshi Kusama, who said the SHIB games may launch in September 2022.

Phantom Galaxies

Phantom Galaxies crosses over a lot of genres. It describes itself as an "open-world space sim with fast-pace mech shooters and a captivating story."

With mech combat, upgradable mech NFTs, guilds and universe exploration all set to feature, Phantom Galaxies is set for a stellar 2022 if it can stick to its roadmap.

According to its website, player-owned planets will release in Q1 2022, followed by Origin Series Avatars and Starfighters in Q2. This is ahead of the early access game launch in Q3 2022.

Illuvium

Illuvium's first open beta was initially scheduled for December 2021, with its full release also reportedly coming in Q4 2021.

However, this was then pushed back, with an open beta expected to launch in Q1 2022. The latest developer blog post does suggest there is still a lot to do, too.

This open-world auto battler features a roster of over 100 Illuvials. Players can earn by participating in PvP Arena battles, or through PvE missions.

Illuvium also runs on the Ethereum blockchain, using its ILV token.

Illuvium's mobile version will launch in 2022, ahead of a full sequel in 2023, according to its roadmap.

Guild of Guardians

Published by Immutable, the company behind Gods Unchained, Guild of Guardians is a mobile fantasy RPG set for a release in 2022.

Players will be able to trade their loot with other players, earned through gameplay.

Over 120,000 players have pre-registered for the multiplayer dungeon RPG, which puts a focus on giving players "true digital ownership" of in-game assets via NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain.

A soft alpha is expected to launch in Q2 2022, followed by a beta in Q4 ahead of the full Guild of Guardians launch in Q2 2023.
