During the past few weeks, the Nintendo Switch 2 has slowly leaked piece by piece, literally. From PCB images to the actual gaming mouse-like Joy-Con, it feels like Nintendo has nothing left to hide for their upcoming next-gen console.

A brand new set of information is going around the Internet again, this time focusing on the Switch 2 OS. While Nintendo fans had Miiverse during the 3DS and Wii U era, the Switch 2 now seemingly plans to recreate this social media app, with a focus on creating posts and recording videos.

Posted on X by @AesirMalos or NintenGOD, they shared a screenshot from a Reddit post indicating more details about the Switch 2's social media app. Aside from being able to post and upload videos, fans will also be able to send direct messages to each other and create communities which is perfect for sharing user-generated content and livestreams.

Speculated to be named "Vidmiio", Nintendo Switch 2's social media app will have some similarities to the popular social media app, TikTok. Mainly used for posting short-form video content and live streaming, TikTok has gained millions of users creating their own content. If Nintendo plans to have something similar to TikTok, then players can expect to see similar types of gaming and Nintendo-related content on Vidmiio.

Fans are skeptical of this information, however, NintenGOD mentioned that the Vidmiio leak details came from the same leaker who provided information about how the new Joy-Cons will have mouse capabilities. It's logical to take everything with a grain of salt, but these leaks are going to be massive and will change the way many fans play on the Nintendo console should it be true.

If Nintendo proceeds to have a dedicated social media app for Switch 2 users, then gaming with friends and family will become easier. Open Vidmiio, send a gaming invite and play straight away from the same device.
