Palpagos can be daunting to process for new players. Once you load in, Palworld doesn't shy away from letting you know the scope of its world. The first time you die and try to respawn is when you'll truly understand the scale of the island. And there's still a lot more to go, such as the towers. Today, we'll look at the Palworld map and all major areas, regions of interest, and tower locations.
If you're looking to get a different type of start, you can actually pick your own respawn point. Your campaign also involves going against faction leaders at towers, so you need to know the order to face them. Today, we'll go over both of them so you can be ready to pace out your Palworld journey.
Once you know what path to take, check our full list of Pals and how to ride Pals to get around the map quickly.
Palworld all Islands
Plateau of Beginnings
The Plateau of Beginnings is the first place you will spawn in Palworld. It's the most abundant location in terms of Pals and resources, making it ideal for any novice looking to comfortably level up and enjoy the pace of the game in the most ideal conditions.
Sea Breeze Archipelago Castaway Beach
Next up, we have Castaway Beach, which also has a similar resource and Pal abundance to the Plateau of Beginnings. Pick this location to start if you want a beach island biome rather than the forest at the Plateau of Beginnings. It's located near a volcano and features several beaches, ensuring a good diversity of the creatures you can encounter here.
Forgotten Island
Jumping to the other extreme, we have the Forgotten Island, which has the least amount of Pals and resources available. It's located on the northwest corner of the map and is quite isolated from the rest of the areas. Starting here is difficult due to the difficulty and rarity of the Pals as well as the frigid colds you will have to deal with to progress further ahead. Perhaps the hardest challenger here involves manoeuvring across the very partitioned terrain.
Ice Wind Island
Ice Wind Island is next to Forgotten Island and features the same resource and Pal density. However, the climate here is even colder, and survival experts with the most experience will be able to survive this rough and difficult terrain.
Eastern Wild Island
Eastern Wild Island is located on the North East corner of the map. It's a mix between the moderate temperatures of the easier regions and the low Pal and resource density of the more challenging regions. This makes it a moderately challenging experience for those wishing to test their skills but not quite ready to try the hardcore areas yet.
Marsh Island
The Marsh Island has swampy biomes and lots of greenery. The land here is flat and ideal for building bases. While it has slightly fewer resources and Pals than the best areas, it's still an excellent area to start out and branch to the rest of the Map from.
Windswept Hills Flying Fish Coast
Lastly, we have the Windswept Hills Flying Fish Coast region to the West of the starting area. The region is home to mostly coastal region Pals and lacks tree density. However, the Pal and ore density is good enough that it can be a great starting point for your adventure. It's a bit isolated but that's also one of its strengths, as you can focus on creating a safe haven away from the dangers of the central areas.
Those are all the respawn regions and major starting Islands in Palworld. You'll run into more unique terrains and areas as you make your way to the centre. We'll be sure to cover them all soon. Until then, you should learn how Pal breeding works and how to craft and use Gliders.
