Palworld has only been around for a week and it’s still one of the most talked-about games out there, thanks to its survival gameplay and Pokémon-like mechanics. While most players are using a controller or keyboard to play the game, this streamer is playing it with her mind.
Twitch streamer Perri Karyal has made a career of controlling games with a unique controller that seemingly uses her brain waves. As seen on Twitter, Karyal is now using that impressive technology in the Pokémon-like survival game, showing off the combat and catching mechanics.
Karyal’s unique mind control method is quite the sight to see and it makes her gameplay of Palworld infinitely more interesting than most streams. While we still don’t know how the streamer can make use of this technology, we hope it’s eventually distributed to the public so that gamers with major handicaps can continue playing.
Seeing Palworld played in a variety of ways shows just how in-demand this unique survival game is. Aside from the traditional controller and keyboard method, we’ve also seen players use a beta method of VR gameplay. Only time will tell if this game ends up getting an official VR port but it would make this unique game even more immersive.
Hype for Palworld is at an all-time high, as the game has received positive reviews and is selling millions of copies. The combination of survival gameplay and Pokémon-like catching mechanics has adored itself to the mainstream. Some fans are hoping that its success will lead to The Pokémon Company taking their next games more seriously, but we’ll wait and see on that.
It’s not all sunshine and rainbows surrounding this game, as the title had been accused of plagiarising the Pokémon games. Even the executives at Pokémon took notice, as they announced that they would be investigating the game for any wrongdoing.
