If you’re diving into Path of Exile 2’s endgame, the Realmgate is your ticket to some of the game's toughest challenges.

This map node pits you against powerful Pinnacle Bosses that will test your skill level.

But before using it, you’ll need to know exactly where to find it and what items are required to open those portals.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Realmgate so you're ready to dive into those boss fights and the rewards they offer.

How To Find & Unlock the Realmgate

To find the Realmgate in Path of Exile 2, you’ll need to unlock the Atlas of Worlds, which you can do after finishing the main story on Cruel difficulty.

Once you unlock the Atlas, head to the Ziggurat Refuge, the main spot for endgame mapping.

The Realmgate is nearby, but the cluttered Atlas map might make it difficult to spot.

For convenience, click the home icon at the top left of the screen.

Doing this will reset the map to the start of your endgame journey, with the Realmgate in the correct place.

When you move your cursor over the Realmgate, it shows up as a little altar icon with a blue glow.

Keep your eyes peeled around the Ziggurat Refuge, and once you’re used to the place, you won’t miss it in the future.

After you find the Realmgate, you'll need to grab a few items to get it working.

Unlike regular map nodes, the Realmgate skips the Waystones and uses items tied to different league mechanics.

Each Pinnacle Boss has its own activation rules, usually needing items crafted from materials you get during certain encounters.

Here’s a list of the bosses and what you need to do to trigger them:

1. Xesht, We That Are One (Breach Pinnacle Boss)

To take on Xesht, combine 300 Breach Splinters to make a Breachstone.

These splinters drop when you run through Breach encounters on your maps.

When you have the Breachstone, use it at the Realmgate to enter the Twisted Domain and face off against Xesht.

2. Olroth, Origin of the Fall (Expedition Pinnacle Boss)

To get Olroth, you'll want to recruit Dannig, who randomly appears during Expedition maps.

Bring Dannig to your Hideout, then chat with him to pick up a Level 79 or higher Logbook.

This Logbook lets you open the Realmgate to the Expeditions Pinnacle Boss.

3. The Simulacrum (Delirium Pinnacle Event)

The Simulacrum is not a one-and-done boss fight—it’s a wave event.

To unlock this, you only need 300 Simulacrum Splinters (they drop in Delirium encounters in maps), then combine them to make a Simulacrum.

After crafting it, head to the Realmgate and start a map with 15 waves of enemies that get harder each time.

4. King in the Mists (Ritual Pinnacle Boss)

If you want to face the King in the Mists, you need to obtain an item called An Audience With the King.

You can pick up this item by spending a Tribute in the Ritual Favor system. When you have the item, use it at the Realmgate.

The gate to the Crux of Nothingness will open, and the boss is right behind it.
