To get you started, here's how to play Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds PC, how it stacks up against the mobile version, and how to actually log in. It's not as simple as you'd think.

Following on from the lore and impressive gameplay of previous Ni No Kuni titles, Cross Worlds has players return to the land of Ni No Kuni, this time in Evermore as a beta tester for a full-dive VR game that has more to unpack than it first seems. Cross Worlds has come to mobile platforms and PC via the dedicated Netmarble launcher.

We have a ton more Ni No Kuni content to help you out as you start your new Soul Divers journey. There's a Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds tier list for Familiars Ni No Kuni: Cross World codes for free stuff, and a guide to unlocking Ni No Kuni mounts as well.

How To Download Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds PC

Wondering how to play Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds on PC? Put that shakey emulator away: there's an official Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds PC build you can download and install instead.

A link to download the Windows PC client has been added to the official website, right at the top next to the Google Play and App Store buttons, so if you're on your computer of choice, tap that button and download away.

It's super easy to get going with this. Download the Netmarble Launcher, install it (you can change your install location at the bottom), then open it up like any other launcher.

You'll have to deal with a first-time download of the game (and another when you attempt to log in), but it's much smaller than your typical JRPG these days. You'll still want to stick to WiFi over a metered connection, though.

How To Log In To Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds PC

This is the tricky bit. To log into Cross Worlds on PC, you'll need to have created a log-in via the app version of the game. If you've not downloaded it to your phone, get it installed now. It's the only way.

In the mobile version, you'll need to start the game, make a character, and pass the tutorial.

When this is done, you'll have access to the game menu. Head to the Account settings, and there will be options to link your game to social media or log in with an email.

Hit the email option and follow the steps to create a Netmarble account. Once you've verified it, you can use this to log into the PC Client - which will have the same characters and progress.

If you've played another Netmarble game like King of Fighters: All-Stars, Marvel Future Revolution, Seven Knights 2, or Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, you'll likely already have a Netmarble account you can use. Just plug the assigned email and password into the Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds PC game and you should drop straight in.

Once you've gone down this winding path, you'll easily be able to switch between mobile and PC without losing progress. It is also worth noting that on the PC Client, you can't redeem codes or log into social media. At least for now, as it is still a beta version.

On its first day, the PC client ran into an issue for a lot of players: servers they were using did not show up, and neither did their characters despite using the same login and account. Thankfully, YouTuber Ianplified has figured out how to fix this. Essentially, regions within the games' files didn't match up, so you'll need to fix them yourself. Here's their video to fix the issue:

Despite being a robust PC build already, the Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds PC controls aren't quite as extensive as you might think. It's still a game centered around mobile design choices, so things like controller support aren't there just yet. Other Netmarble games like Seven Knights 2 did have controller support to some extent, but it was never great, and it likely won't be here either: if it shows up at all.

Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds PC Controls - Keybinds

Though there's no overlay like on a traditional mobile game emulator, Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds PC controls are set automatically to suit mouse and keyboard play. WASD controls movement, and you can change the camera with your mouse or keyboard's arrow keys. Beyond that, though, you might be stumped.

To see the Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds PC controls, you'll need to tap F1 to display the overlay. You can't keep it on screen, though, so remember the buttons well and get practicing in Evermore before you start a fight you'll fumble throughout. We've listed the lot above, but you'll want to practice to memorize them sooner rather than later.

Is Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds Crossplay?

Netmarble have confirmed that there is crossplay between mobile platforms and PC platforms. No matter which version of the game you decide to play on any given day, you'll still be able to party up with your friends and kingdom buddies.

Is Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds PC Better Than Mobile?

Though it's still technically in a beta state, the Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds PC build actually feels more stable and well-built than a lot of AAA PC ports already.

Like the mobile game, it features extensive graphics options if you care to dig into the menus, allowing you to go for high-fidelity graphics or simply visuals to suit your PC and/or energy bills.

The game scales incredibly well to the big screen, with a higher internal render resolution by default than an iPhone 13 Pro Max, for example, which can help screenshots come out looking sharper than you'd expect.

On another note, Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds PC caps out at a buttery smooth 120fps, whereas the aforementioned iPhone 13 Pro Max can only be toggled up to 50fps.

If you're planning on extended play sessions, Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds PC is a great option. You won't be tethered to a charger, your hands don't have to grip a toasty phone all day, and you'll be free to mess around with YouTube and other things in the background. If you can run it, it's worth trying.
