How to recruit Makoto and Yusuke in Persona 5 Tactica
To recruit Makoto and Yusuke, you will need to clear Mission 13 and 14, which occur simultaneously. It is the last segment of the quest line of ‘Go to the Townsquare’, where you will be able to free these characters from Marie’s mind control. These are the final characters that you will need to save from Marie.
For this mission, you will need to clear the stage within eight rounds without losing any of your characters. Makoto and Yusuke are powerful enemies, and taking them both at the same time can end up in a disaster. Focus on one of them at a time so that you can grab that 3-star rating.
You’ll need to destroy Marie’s flag to get rid of her influence, so that should be your priority. Take care of the musketeers at the same time as you approach one of the Phantom Thieves. We recommend Yusuke as this path will help you win the fight much quicker. You can ignore Makoto as she is blocked by some barrels, so she won’t be able to attack you either.
Taking the path on the right, which leads to Yusuke, knock him out with the explosive barrels. You will be able to get the One More boosts to increase your damage, and get more Triple-Threats for extra range. Yusuke will be stunned for a round or two, so you can take this chance to get close to the flag and destroy it.
Use high-damage attacks for the flag, and you should be able to destroy it quickly. Once that’s done, a cutscene will play, and the Phantom Thieves are all yours.
