Does Tandemaus evolve in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Indeed we can evolve Tandemaus, although the how, when, and what are a little fuzzy for now. Tandemaus evolves, somehow, into Maushold, a trio or quad of mice instead of just two.

How do I evolve Tandemaus in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Maushold's Pokédex entry states that no one is sure if the mice are related, and that the two little ones just appeared. This is pretty much how Tandemaus evolves.

It seems that Maushold just shows up in a player's party, much like Shedinja. For that, we're left assuming more mice will join the squad as you use the Let's Go feature to walk them. Likely after around 1000 steps or so.

What is Tandemaus in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Tandemaus is one of Generation 9's tiny mammalian Pokemon, this time modelled very much like a mouse instead of previous hamster-like rodents such as Dedenne. Tandemaus appears as two white mice, one with faint blue trousers, and the other with a faint blue sleeveless top.

Tandemaus' Pokedex entry allegedly reads:

Exhibiting great teamwork, they use their incisors to cut pieces out of any material that might be useful for a nest, then make off with them.

There are two forms of Maushold: one with two big and two small mice, and then the other form has only one small mouse.

According to some leaks, the family of four is a rarer form, but this is currently unconfirmed, mostly due to the fact no one has figured out how to actually evolve each specifically yet. As soon as we know more, we'll update right here!

That's it for everything we know about how to evolve Tandemaus in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet! It's a confusing one, so feel free to also check out how to evolve Bisharp, or how to evolve Finizen or the Rotom phone cases. Those are more straightforward!
