If royal life isn't for you, then our BitLife Mafia guide could be more fitting, making for a very different walk of life.

What is BitLife Royalty?

In BitLife, royalty is the upper echelon of virtual society. It functions similarly to the game's Fame mechanics, as you'll have access to a lot more cash, as well as increased respect from the general public.

As you might expect, BitLife royalty lets you hold a range of crown-based titles, ranging from a duke to the king or queen of your country. You'll live in more expensive properties and will not have to work a normal job, as you'll have a fountain of money to burn. From there, your BitLife royalty path is up to you, whether you'll choose to be a benevolent ruler or secluded, rich, and a big spender.

How Do I Become Bitlife Royalty?

Looking to become a royal in BitLife? Here's how:

  • Becoming BitLife royalty is typically a birthright, requiring being born into an existing royal family
  • It may take many lives and character randomizations to achieve royal status
  • BitLife God Mode allows for complete character customization, including selecting Commoner or Royal status, but it requires real-world money
  • You can only become BitLife royalty if you're born in a country with a royal family
    • For example, being born in the USA means you cannot be royalty
  • An alternative way to become BitLife royalty is to date and marry an existing royal family member

Becoming a royal is a matter of luck, just like in real life, and BitLife is no exception. In most scenarios, it's a birthright and your best chance of becoming a royal is to be born into an existing royal family.

Of course, birthright is not the only option. BitLife God Mode allows for full character customization, including choosing Royal status, but since you're purchasing this pack with real money, we recommend you consider it as a last option.

There is an alternative way to sneak into BitLife royalty. It takes a lot of trial and error, but you can end up dating and marrying a royal, which will also make you a royal by extension. They are notoriously hard to find in the game's dating section. If you manage it, though, you'll move your way into that country's royal family meaning you may have to rely on luck in order to wear the crown.

Only the following countries have royal families in BitLife, meaning you'll need to be born in one of these to attain royalty:

  • Belgium
  • Denmark
  • Japan
  • Jordan
  • Kuwait
  • Malaysia
  • Monaco
  • Morocco
  • Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • Thailand
  • United Arab Emirates
  • United Kingdom

What Are the Perks of Bitlife Royalty?

As you might expect, being a BitLife royal comes with plenty of benefits. First and foremost is the vast swathes of existing wealth you're born into. You'll have all the stately homes and luxurious vehicles you'll ever need and more money than you'll know what to do with. If you fancy a £1 million bet at the casino now and then, you can do just that without worrying about the crushing debt. Or, if you want to purchase a fleet of private jets and helicopters, that'll be like a drop in the ocean, too.

Equally, BitLife royalty comes with several gameplay attributes that are not present for commoners. You can socialize with celebrities of your choice, as well as vote on laws. Yes, as a royal you can pass or deny law proposals in the same way you can through the politician career trees.

If you're more of a malevolent ruler, there's plenty of room for that. The Public Disservice menu lets you choose from an array of misdeeds to commit. While it will reduce the respect your people give you, it's a way for BitLife royals to show off their power.

If you want to take it one step further, you can order people to be executed through a range of horrific means. If you overuse these options, don't be surprised if your subjects revolt and eventually overthrow you. Then you'll lose all your power, with nothing but fond memories to cling to.

How Do I Abandon Bitlife Royalty?

The only way to abandon your royal duties is to be overthrown by your subjects. This is the equivalent of a mini-revolt, as you'll be chased out of your castle and lose your royal title. More often than not, you achieve this by making your subjects grossly unhappy with your reign.

You'll need to head down a bad moral path. That's best done by executing your subjects and purposefully passing laws that you know will be unpopular. If you do this enough, the citizens will reach the end of their tether and depose you from your position.

How to Guarantee BitLife Royalty

Landing a royal bloodline on BitLife is extremely difficult, as it all depends on your luck when starting a new life. For players of the base game, there's no way to guarantee that you'll be born into royalty without spending money. It's a matter of constantly starting new lives and hoping you get lucky.

However, if you purchase the God Mode expansion, you can toggle your social status. This pack costs $4.99 or £4.49, but if you want to guarantee the royal lifestyle before you start a new BitLife save, that's the only way to do it.

That's everything you need to know about BitLife royalty. We've run through what it is, the perks you get from being a royal, as well as how to end up sitting on the throne. The choice is now yours: will you be a kind, benevolent ruler or a crazed despot? The choice is yours!

Of course, there's even more than just that to explore in BitLife. We've got all the details on the tricky BitLife train robbery, as well as slightly tamer endeavours, like how to become a BitLife actor.
