Modders have put an awful lot of effort into making sure Skyrim has continually evolved and expanded in the years since it was first released into the world.

Many have focused on changing the game by finding fresh ways to improve its combat or adding everything from interesting new quests to subtle immersive details to it, with a few even going as far as adding massive new landmasses to explore or attempting a little bit of satire.

If you’re a player who loves following modding projects like Skyblivion and Beyond Skyrim that are attempting to re-create areas from other Elder Scrolls games in TES V, a new mod based around a dungeon from The Elder Scrolls Online might be worth adding to your load order.

Did you wish this ESO dungeon had made it into vanilla Skyrim?

The mod in question is called ‘Taarengrav Barrow’, and is the work of modder Penrutet.

Inspired in part by Fredoric1001’s OG Skyrim mod ‘Taarengrav [FR]’, they’ve decided to bring the ancient Nordic barrow of Taarengrav, which can be found in the west of ESO’s version of The Rift, to fourth-era Skyrim.

Now located near The Rift’s Imperial Camp, the ruin’s interior, seemingly accessed via an abandoned mine, should remind you a lot of its ESO counterpart, with plenty of additional lore-friendly touches linked to its recent unearthing by a trio of bandit brothers.

While you can obviously head over and delve into the tomb, which has historical links to both the Dragon Cult and Ysgramor‘s five hundred companions, at any time, you might also be sent there by radiant quests, assuming that your character is at level six or higher.

The mod also comes with three different options for you to choose from with regards to how the ruin will be lit, with the brightest of these mimicking the vanilla game’s lighting, while the other two offer darker options that might look a little better depending on which lighting mods, such as TheMilesO’s ‘Ambiance - A Vanilla(plus) Ambient Lighting Overhaul’, you’re currently using.
