Modders have put an awful lot of effort into making sure Skyrim has continually evolved and expanded in the years since it was first released into the world.

Many have focused on changing the game by adding everything from completely overhauled quests, cosy player homes and terrifying zombies to it, with a few even going as far as making all of its NPCs non-hostile or freezing player characters until The Elder Scrolls 6 arrives.

If you’re someone who’s incredibly hyped up for Starfield and are having trouble imagining how you’re going to pass the time until its release date rolls around, a new mod might be worth taking a look at.

Fancy starting a space-themed mage playthrough of Skyrim while you wait for September to get here?

The mod in question is called ‘Stellaris’, and is the work of modder Norive. Some of their previous projects have given the Dragonborn the chance to become a Spriggan-mask-wearing naturalistic mage and to unleash the Lovecraftian power of Apocrypha.

This time, they’ve decided to create another set of uniquely themed spells for Tamriel’s curious warlocks, with this one being aimed at magic users who want to harness the power of the stars and wield indications with beautiful purple and orange effects.

The pack contains a variety of hexes that’ll fit perfectly into the arsenals of those skills in restoration and alteration, with spells that inflict damage and heal being housed under the former ability and those that change the properties of your character or their gear requiring the latter school.

Need to unleash a quick attack on an unsuspecting group of foes? You can unleash an Astral Star that’ll deal significant area-based destruction. About to perish before you’ve documented all of Tamriel’s constellations? You can summon an Astral Fusion that’ll heal your wounds and make you tougher for a few seconds. Battling another conjurer in a duel? You can cast Astral Void, upping your ability to absorb hostile spells.

With spells to suit every skill level, from novice to master, it’s definitely worth heading to see Nelacar at Winterhold’s Frozen Hearth Inn and taking a look at his cosmic wares.

Regardless of whether you’re now standing atop a mountain trying out your newly acquired array of interstellar incantations, make sure to follow us for more updates on The Elder Scrolls 6 and the interesting world of Skyrim modding.
