Ever since its announcement in 2021, Splinter Cell Remake has been anticipated by many stealth fans. While news about it may seem scarce, a recent update from Insider Gaming indicates that the new Splinter Cell Remake's development is still ongoing under the project name North. The latest Splinter Cell will utilize the Snowdrop Engine, the same engine used in more recent games such as Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

Considered to be one of the most iconic stealth franchises of all time, Splinter Cell was way ahead of its time. From gadgets to stealth mechanics that improved through each installment, Splinter Cell introduced many fans to the stealth genre.
