If you’re a big Star Wars fan, odds are you’ve spent the last few days delving into the freshly released entry in Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi series.

Assuming you’ve been lucky enough to have avoided having your playing sessions disrupted too badly by the array of performance-related issues that plagued the launch version of the game, there’ll have been more than enough planets to explore, bosses to battle and appearances to customise to keep you occupied, even if you’ve been playing from dawn until dusk.

For those already starting to approach 100% completion, mods can offer a few extra hours of intergalactic entertainment, as can coming up with ideas for the plot of a potential next entry in the series, though Jedi Survivor’s Lead Writer has confirmed that you shouldn’t expect your exact suggestions to suddenly be made canon.

What would you hope to see in a potential follow-up to Star Wars Jedi Survivor?

This nugget of information came out via the AMA thread that followed a post from Danny Homan to the subreddit r/fallenorder, promoting the Substack, called ‘Adventures in Game Writing’, that he’ll be using to share some of his experiences from the process of writing the game, including developing its characters and plot.

The post also saw him invite questions from the game’s Reddit community, which, as you might imagine, they were more than happy to provide.

Perhaps the most interesting answer from Homan was prompted by user Adzianu asking: “Will we be able to have some impact on Star Wars: Jedi... Third part? Will you take for consideration any suggestions from our side regarding the plot?”

The writer didn’t explicitly confirm that a third entry for the series is coming via his response, but he did reveal: “(We) can't take direct (fan) suggestions, but we love seeing y'all's discussions about (the) story/characters. (It’s) really inspiring. We work for years on these projects, and it's awesome to see fans engaging.”

Some other cool tidbits from the thread’s barrage of inquiries include the revelation that the character interactions in the game’s cantina were planned out via a single “crazy brainstorm board” and that everyone’s favourite frog Turgle gets “swindled by the local Jawas” between three and 27 times per week.

Though, Homan hasn’t had the chance to answer other queries that cover everything from Rick the Door Technician creation process to the lore surrounding Oggdo Bogdo reproduction, so there might still be time to submit any burning questions you have about the game.
