Most of the hardcore Bethesda RPG fans who’ve invested thousands of hours into Skyrim and Fallout 4 can't wait for the release of Starfield, which we now know won’t be too close to the arrival of Fallout London.
These would-be interstellar explorers got plenty of fresh answers regarding what to expect from their trip to space at last month’s Starfield Direct, which featured everything from an array of spaceship interiors, to detailed data about some of the game’s planets, and even the Adoring Fan.
While some have since been researching which versions of it come with a physical disc, or discussing what can reasonably be expected from its early modding scene, one incredibly dedicated fan has faced the task of adding all the latest info to their already humongous document about the game.
Do you fancy reading over 1k pages of information about Starfield?
The fan in question, Reddit user Gokamo, has just shared the freshly updated version of their magnum opus, which is designed to serve as “a single source” for all of the information released about the game prior to its release, via a post to the subreddit r/starfield.
Having started life as a 120 page and 18k+ word long summary of everything known about the game prior to its gameplay reveal at 2022’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, after which it swelled to 409 pages, the document is now made up of a whopping 1071 pages and over 86k words, thanks to last month’s gameplay deep dive.
“When I started working on the Starfield [document], I never would have guessed that I would reach well over 1000 pages, but here we are,” said the superfan in the post, continuing: “600 pages in a month is about the speed I [managed] last time, there was just so, so, so much more [though], so this [update] took some [extra] time to finish up.”
They also added: “I'm officially well into the novel word count range now and [despite that] I'm sure there is plenty I missed, [so] if you noticed something I didn't or I got something wrong, let me know!”
As you can imagine, Gokamo’s fellow would-be spacers continue to be awestruck by their efforts, with user tschillirot suggesting that the document could be seen as the “archived history of Starfield.”
“Yeah, that's why I left the original segments [from 2022] alone,” Gokamo has since responded, revealing: “I want this doc to be a time capsule of what the community knew and thought at various stages before release.”
Regardless of whether you’re now calculating the cost of printing out the entire document to serve as your pre-Starfield bedtime reading material, make sure to follow us for lots of guides to its world and mechanics.
