Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League comes out next month and fans aren’t excited to give the game a try. Interestingly, one leaker claims that the game is going to get exciting during the release of Season 3, which is supposedly set in Gotham City.
Miller Ross, who has been responsible for various leaks of the game, said that Season 3 of the game is going to be a big one. Firstly, it will happen during Halloween or Black Friday so the game should go on sale by then. Secondly, Season 3 will bring Task Force X into Gotham City, which means a lot of Arkham nostalgia.
Ross also claims that Deathstroke will be added to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League during Season 4, adding another incentive to buy the game. Only time will tell if these tactics end up working, especially since there’s not a lot about the shooter that has players interested.
Now that we know more of the story will be fleshed out in other seasons, judging the initial leak was probably a mistake. Still, the fact that Rocksteady confirmed the leak didn’t exactly get fans hyped up for the game, considering how dull and edgy the plot sounded. Fans are hoping that the story is better than it seems and the gameplay feels fun since the latter just doesn’t look interesting.
A lot is going against Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, from the leaks that have spoiled the plot, to it being one of many WB live-service games. It also doesn’t help that the shooter is coming out in the same month as some highly-anticipated titles like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Persona 3 Reload.
Most of the disappointment comes from how this is Rocksteady’s next major DC game after Batman: Arkham Knight. Sure, that game wasn’t perfect, but it was a solid end to a strong game series. Now, it looks like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is dead on arrival by joining a dying game genre.
