While Nintendo Switch 2 leaks are popping left and right, including a release date for the exciting Pokemon Legends: Z-A, Nintendo seems to be cool about it.

While the Japanese giant appears relaxed while these leaks are emerging everywhere like Mario's mushrooms, another set of leaks are seen online. This time, it's about the Gamestop having Switch 2 accessories SKU already, seemingly implying that the next-gen console is just a few days away from an official announcement.

In an X post shared by @Wario64, they shared an image that showcases several product SKUs for the Nintendo Switch 2, including several Micro SD cards and a Joy-Con Charger Grip.

These Express Micro SD cards have speeds that can rival SSDs, indicating that the load times on the Nintendo Switch 2 could have speeds never seen before on a normal Switch.

These SKUs are also from a GameStop inventory system, and fans further speculate that an imminent announcement will happen soon. Even the SKUs indicate that the new console is called "Switch 2", a name Nintendo has not officially confirmed yet.

The next-gen console will also feature backward compatibility, allowing you to play older titles in a much higher visual fidelity thanks to its custom Nvidia chip, which is rumored to add AI upscaling to the Nintendo Switch 2.

Fans on Reddit are interested in the 1TB version of the said Express Micro SD cards for the Switch 2, with the majority of them agreeing that 512 GB might not be enough considering that the new console will feature backward compatibility. A mix of old and new games installed on these SD cards will be the norm once the Switch 2 is out.

Additionally, Pokemon Legends: Z-A's release date has been accidentally leaked on Amazon, further pushing Nintendo into a corner that might force them to release an official announcement.

However, Nintendo isn't showing any kind of hostility towards these leaks and has stayed quiet since the announcement of the Switch 2's backward compatibility.

Whether you feel like Nintendo will announce something soon or if they will do something similar to what Rockstar Games did on December 27 for GTA 6, be sure to stay updated with the latest gaming news and stories by following Gfinity Esports.
