While Clark Kent has been amazing in the comics and movies, the gaming industry hasn’t really perfected the formula for making a fantastic Superman game. Thanks to three students from the Vantan Game Academy in Osaka, PC and PS5 gamers can now experience how it feels to be as powerful and invincible as Superman in video games. Undefeated, a free-to-play project game on Steam, is now also available for PS5.
Undefeated is a passion project started by the student dev team back in 2019, which then surged in popularity thanks to its immersive superhero experience. Complete with super speed, super strength, and flight, players can roam around the city ala Superman as they solve crimes and rescue people from alien threats. The game has been available on PC since its release in 2019 and the students have then created their very own studio named Indie-us Games, which paved the way for the PS5 release.

Indie-us Games have recently announced that Undefeated will now have a full-fledged, paid sequel entitled Undefeated: Genesis which will be released for PC and PS5 next year. The lack of a similar Superman-like genre in video games has made the passion project’s popularity skyrocket over the past 5 years.
While there are titanic gaming studios and publishers who are releasing massive titles left and right, DC comic superheroes aren’t getting the games these characters deserve. Gamers recently had Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, but DC superheroes like the Justice League and Superman are stuck in games like Injustice and Kill The Justice League. Undefeated is a great way to satiate the itch for playing an overpowered superhero battling overpowered enemies in an open world.
Undefeated is free to play on both Steam and PS5, so regardless of whether you will be doing the game’s Destruction or Flight challenges, be sure to stay updated about everything in gaming by following Gfinity Esports.
