If you played Minecraft long enough, you'll know that falling isn't always the best thing to happen, especially when you forget that you are in Survival Mode after a long gaming session in Creative Mode. You've probably fallen to your death a couple of times after underestimating that cliff.

Well, that won't happen any more thanks to one Minecraft fan who took some time creating a fall damage guide.

Posted on Reddit by u/_Bob_Zilla_, they shared a handy fall damage guide they created after learning that their friend is afraid to fall from the height of 20 blocks even after having the Feather Fall and Protection buffs.

It turns out that the lethal fall damage without any buffs or protection is at 23 blocks, so their friend would've definitely survived should they fall at 20 blocks. Having Feather Falling 4 plus Full Protection 4 will allow you to fall for 103 blocks while using a hay bale as a landing pad will let you survive from the height of 100 blocks.

Some fans were amazed by the guide and u/_Bob_Zilla_ mentioned that they actually tested each of these heights indicated in the guide. One fan even mentioned that if you fall from any height and you land on a horse, the sturdy mammal will half your fall damage. It's always a good time to have horses around in Minecraft.

Others also pointed out that lava, slime, and honey also slow down your fall speed, decreasing your fall damage. Keep these blocks in mind next time you venture up high above in your Minecraft world.

Be mindful that they did all the testing in Minecraft Jave edition. If you are playing the Bedrock version, you might receive different results so be careful.
