If you've finally started the game and you're struggling with what works best for you, our Diablo Immortal tier list should help you out. It's a game you can pick up and play for minutes at a time, which makes it sound far less shallow than it really is. If you want to be the best, it all starts with that first decision.
Every single Diablo Immortal class can be found below, ranked on where they are best for both PvP and PvE. Some have very different strengths, so it's worth paying attention to what works for your class and really sinking some time into that.
If you need a little more advice, maybe our Diablo Immortal Necromancer build can help you out. If you aren't interested in that, maybe our Crusader build, Barbarian build, Wizard build, Demon Hunter build, and Monk build will work for you.

Diablo Immortal tier list

The current Diablo Immortal tier list considers various things before placing each class into its respective tier.
Things like damage, ease of use, versatility, durability, utility, and general fun factor all play a role in the final call here. Use the list above as is when choosing your class, but we have some light explainers down below for those looking for a fuller verdict.
Barbarian
The Barbarian sits atop the Diablo Immortal tier list for a variety of reasons right now. Its damage is through the roof in most cases, it's surprisingly bulky with little effort, it's a blast to play with a standard Sprint/Whirlwind build, and it has plenty of ways to get out (and back in) to trouble. So long as you don't lose focus, you'll have a great time playing the Barbarian in Diablo Immortal.
Demon Hunter
The Demon Hunter takes a little while to get up to speed, but it ends up being one of the best DPS classes in Diablo Immortal once you're all built up and ready to go. Its slim mobility options early on hurt the overall fun factor, but stick with this, and you'll find a class with solid area attack options, impressive single-target DPS, and some fun little quirks with things like sentries.
Necromancer
Taking cues from the Diablo 3 iteration, the Necromancer is a killing machine - so long as there are plenty of bodies to harness.
When ploughing through groups of enemies, the Necromancer explodes defeated ones, creating a domino effect or chain reaction that never gets old.

When it comes to bosses, though, your build can hold you back. You generally have to pick one strategy or the other. If you like the fun of exploding corpses, you'll likely be bored in boss fights.
Wizard
In the right mind, the Wizard can be a true force to be reckoned with. It has stellar single-target performance, strong area damage, and the mobility and magical shielding to keep it alive in times it otherwise wouldn't be able to.
It's a very reactive class requiring aiming, combos, and focus. It's not an auto-attacking machine, and lacking defences means you'll quickly perish if you're not paying attention. If you want to turn your brain off while you play, find something else.
Crusader
Though the Crusader can certainly take a punch, it's not the most enjoyable class for those looking to do nothing but pump out damage. Running around on a horse to gather up targets is fun, as is slapping them down with a huge flair, but at later levels, the Crusader becomes the sort to drop down the damage tables in boss battles.
In group play, its job is a frontline tank that runs in first to check those corners before running out with three dozen demons ready to burn down. Again, it's fun for a while, but the Crusader's focus on defensive utility and area skills makes it a little dull to play in endgame scenarios.
Monk
At the bottom of the barrel is the lowly monk. Beyond just never looking at that cool thanks to its general lack of weaponry, the Monk returns to its Diablo 3 state of just never really having excelled in any one field to truly stand out.
It has decent support for groups that need it, good sustain, and plenty of area and single-target abilities, but this jack-of-all-trades approach leaves it without a proper focus.
Diablo Immortal PvP tier list - Best class for PvP
Tier | Class | Reason |
---|---|---|
S | Monk, | The Monk is a versatile duelist that can hold its own. |
A | Crusader, Demon Hunter | Crusaders benefit from crowd control, speed, and durability in most PVP situations, whereas the Demon Hunter has mobility, and range. |
B | Wizard, Barbarian | Wizards require precise aim and rely on Teleport to stay out of trouble. When the burst window closes, they struggle. The Barbarian takes too long to get going in small-scale PVP. |
C | Necromancer | The Necromancer sometimes takes a little too long to get going. With a focus on using defeated enemies for area damage, it's limited in viable PVP strategies. |
This Diablo Immortal tier list is far more subjective than the PVE ranking table and very much subject to change, but it's still a good starting point for anyone looking to make an early dent in PVP. It uses information gleaned from earlier builds of the game and very light experience. Just be aware.
And that's all there is to say about the Diablo Immortal tier list situation right now. Again, the PVP tier list is barebones at the moment, but it's a good starting point for those with a competitive eye. For rankings in another MMORPG, our Lost Ark tier list paints a similar picture.
