VR gaming is slowly making its mark among many fans. Games such as Batman: Arkham Shadow and Metro Awakening have become popular titles for VR over the past year. For many simulator and VR enthusiasts, PowerWash Simulator VR is the best game to relax while satisfyingly cleaning many challenging gunk the game offers.
However, PowerWash Simulator will soon terminate its VR support due to restructures that are happening within the team, and will not release the Wallace and Gromit DLC on the VR platform.
Kirsty Rigden, CEO of FuturLab, shared in an X post that the company is currently faced with a choice to abandon VR support and reallocate resources and team members to other job openings for other projects within the company.
While this may be bad news for many fans who loved the VR version of the PowerWash Simulator, this is still a great move for the company's employees as it ensures job security for those who are affected by the removal of VR for the PowerWash Simulator.

FuturLab mentioned that the VR platform costs them more than what PowerWash VR makes so having to shift its focus to more profitable projects while making sure that job security is a top priority for everyone is a sound decision. Kirsty Rigden also stated, "If you were in my position, you would have made the same decision."
All currently released DLCs for the base VR game will still be available, and fans can still purchase the VR game. However, future DLCs like Wallace and Gromit will not be available on VR, leaving it only for PowerWash Simulator on other platforms.
VR gaming may seem like a niche market to some, but having to see Wallace's uncanny smile and Gromit's shenanigans on PowerWash Simulator VR could have been perfect for many fans who love the duo and love powerwashing.
