The gulag in Warzone 2 is one of the battle royale’s most popular features. Having the ability to earn a second chance at victory by defeating an opponent often creates plenty of memorable moments over the course of a match.

With eyes turning towards the launch of Season Three, the last-chance saloon is home to some of the most infuriating bugs and glitches impacting players. If fans aren’t getting stuck in buy stations, they’re gaining a major headstart in the gulag to give them a huge advantage.

The latest gulag glitch attempting to ruin matches involves players throwing weapons at their foes rather than a perfectly cooked frag grenade.

Throwing Warzone 2 guns rather than grenades

Uncovered by Reddit user IsDinosaur during a recent visit to the gulag, the bug throws an LMG instead of a snapshot grenade that reveals the location of a player for a few seconds.

“New patch notes: All guns now have ranged melee attacks,” jokes the player wondering why an RPK appeared instead of the grenade. As expected, the community is left wondering if the ability to throw guns is an accidental feature or a bug caused by a recent update. “How does that even become a bug?” questions another fan.

Other fans compare the bug to the fake flash tactic that often appears in CS:GO matches. One of the most well-known examples of a fake flash occurred at ESL One New York when Oleksandr ‘S1mple’ Kostyliev threw his AWP over a wall to clutch for his team

It’s unclear if throwing weapons is a new feature for Warzone 2 but it could act as an interesting mechanic allowing players to distract the opposition when they’re out of utility. It works in other titles, and it could work in Call of Duty.
