The arrival of new Warzone 2 maps is guaranteed to capture the attention of players dropping into the action. So far, the current cycle for Call of Duty’s battle royale has seen the arrival of Ashika Island alongside Al Mazrah.

With Season 3 Reloaded in full swing and numerous leaks surrounding the launch of Modern Warfare 3 appearing, intel on a brand-new Warzone 2 map is also starting to appear much to the excitement of players.

Before the new title releases, the latest leak uncovers a screenshot of the Vondel map expected to arrive in the not-too-distant future.

Warzone 2 Vondel map leak

The leak showcases a very early image of Vondel complete with a windmill next to a river and a number of small buildings. Due to Activision dishing out DMCA’s left, right, and centre, the images circulating are quickly disappearing.

This is the first look at Vondel after data miners managed to find references to the map in mid-April. Judging by the name and its setting, the setting of Vondel will be in the Netherlands. Amsterdam played a pivotal role in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign so it’s no surprise to see a Warzone 2 map inspired by the location.

When is the Warzone 2 Vondel map release date?

According to various reports and leakers, the Vondel map will launch as part of the Season 4 update which is expected to arrive on June 14. As always, there’s a chance Activision changes its mind and Vondel arrives at a later date, but for now, the appearance of the new map isn’t far away.

Will a third map capture the attention of fans growing tired of the game? Only time will tell. While we wait for more information, check out our guides showcasing the best ranked play loadouts and intel on when the next double XP event takes place.
