The Warzone weapon balance is always a hot topic of conversation within the community. Despite Raven Software doing its best to ensure there are plenty of viable options, there are a few that stand out from the crowd much to the annoyance of players.

As the Season 5 Reloaded update nears, the dominance of the Vanguard PPSH and the UGM-8 light machine gun (LMG) continues in the final season of the Pacific era. Alongside the two guns, the Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle is also skyrocketing in popularity thanks to its overpowered nature.

With the meta growing stale, players are asking the Warzone developer to intervene with a much-needed dose of buffs and nerfs in a bid to spice up the best Warzone guns to use.

Warzone players want more weapon balancing

Although the month of September has focused on Modern Warfare 2’s beta weekends, plenty of players are still dropping onto Caldera, Fortune’s Keep, and Rebirth Island. After playing Infinity Ward’s latest offering, Reddit user “McCuLkin” is wondering “where are the balance updates.”

“I want to come back to the game but not until they put a balance update,” says the player. “How is it possible the PPSH is still not nerfed?”

Despite many sharing the same frustrations with the PPSH, players believe Raven Software has abandoned Warzone as attention turns toward the launch of Warzone 2. “I think Raven is finally packing it in,” claims one fan. “They were on top of weapon balance updates for a while.” With the new battle royale experience on the way, it’s not surprising to see minimal updates making their way to Caldera.

However, some are holding out for the mid-season update and hoping the developer introduces one final dose of weapon tuning to shake up the meta one last time. The Season 5 Reloaded update is expected to launch in the first week of October, giving Warzone players three more weeks of content before the launch of Modern Warfare 2 on October 28.
