With many long-term lovers of The Witcher 3 deciding to return to the game in order to check out its freshly released and free next-gen update, the streets of The Continent are bustling with more life than they’ve seen in a good while.
Those jumping back into the body of the white wolf on PC might have noticed that a lot of uber-popular mods are starting to receive the necessary updates to work with the newest version of the game.
For those who’ve already fast travelled to Vizima’s Royal Palace and retrieved the free armour sets added to Yennefer’s quarters by the update, it might be worth taking a look at a couple of new mods that have just arrived to offer some minor tweaks to your freshly acquired garments.
The master armourers of the Nexus have taken The Witcher 3’s next-gen update armours into their workshops
The first of these mods has the snappy title ‘White Tiger of the West Armor and Armor of a Thousand Flowers Plus Swords Enhanced - Better Stats and more Slots’ and is the work of modder Paludis, whose previous work added a player home near Riverwood’s waterfall to old school Skyrim.
This time, they’ve decided to make both the White Tiger of the West and Armour of a Thousand Flowers sets a little more potent, enabling them to be more viable gear for high-levelled players and match their status as ‘legendary armors from the personal collection of the Emperor’.
This is accomplished by improving the base stats of the armours and their swords, in addition to giving some extra enchantment slots to the White Tiger set. Though, Paludis has made sure to leave their unique effects and buffs as is, meaning you shouldn’t have to worry about the changes compromising your immersion or making the gear too overpowered.
On the other hand, if your complaints about the Thousand Flowers set are purely aesthetic, a second mod, ereshes’ ‘Armor of a Thousand Flowers Recolor Mods’ might be worth adding to your load order.
As its title suggests, this mod gives you a bunch of different colour options for the armour to choose from, with your current array of options including a couple of verdant greens with different accent colours and a navy blue version that might be a good shout if your Geralt is an advocate for Temerian independence.
If you’re disappointed that there aren’t any reds or purples on that list, you could leave ereshes a recommendation in the mod’s comments section and they might add it in via a future update.
