Uncovering secrets has always been at the heart of an Indiana Jones adventure, and The Great Circle doesn’t disappoint.
One of the first challenges players run into is the Bulls of Blood puzzle, hidden in the historic halls of Castel Sant’Angelo. Here's how you can solve it:
How To Solve the Bulls of Blood Puzzle
The Bulls of Blood puzzle involves figuring out cryptic notes and manipulating your surroundings to find a secret passage.
Head over to the Angel Courtyard at Castel Sant’Angelo for the puzzle.
As you wander, you'll come across a courtyard patrolled by a guard and his dog.
Stay to the right-hand side of the area to keep a low profile. You can walk into the building through any of the doors.
Inside is a room where a guard is asleep in a chair. Sneak up on him and quietly neutralize him, then look at the table nearby for any hints.
This table is home to several essential items, including notes that give hints about the solution:
- Russo’s Note
- Red Bulls Card
- Angel Courtyard Map
These clues suggest the answer lies in the same room, specifically near the fireplace flanked by two bull paintings.
Although the hints may seem vague, they guide you toward the next step in solving the puzzle.
Look by the fireplace in the room, where two large bull paintings stand on either side of a mural-inspired wall.
The wall space between the paintings looks like a door, like a secret passage behind it.
After interacting with the bull paintings, rotate them to face one another. In some cases, the Red Bulls should face up.
When the paintings align correctly, the mural will shift and reveal a hidden door. Follow this secret corridor to your next location.
Stepping into the newly revealed area provides several rewards. Inside, you’ll find:
- Cesare Borgia’s Letter
- 100 Adventure Points
- Treasure Chest
While poking around the secret room, you come across a lever. Pulling the lever opens up a passageway that takes you to a balcony.
This shortcut lets you skip the Captain's Key and dodge some obstacles to keep going without a hitch.
There's also a second lever that opens a gate, so you can take a different route without disturbing more guards.
How did you handle the guards while solving the Bulls of Blood puzzle?
