While a lot of Cyberpunk 2077 players are already imagining how sweet life will be when the Phantom Liberty Expansion arrives and they can ditch their old mate Keanu Reeves for a fresh celebrity friend in Idris Elba, some are still chilling in Night City while they wait.

Many of these chooms are busy living the bombastic life of a street racer or futuristic fashion model, both of which require buying a lot of new clothes and installing tons of colourful cyberware in order to maintain your street cred.

However, if you’re someone who prefers the quiet life and whose love of Night City comes via subtle immersive details, a new mod might be right up your alley.

Fancy learning all of the info you need simply by glancing out of the window?

The mod in question is called ‘E3 Smart Windows’ and is primarily the work of modder NexusGuy999. You might already have some of their previous work in your load order, with them having created fully functional news and stock market systems for Night City, as well as getting its metros running properly.

This time, with a little help from fellow modders psiberx and scornthegreat, they’ve added a number of functional smart windows to the game’s player homes and apartments.

While these are a little different from those featured in the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer from E3 2018, which served as their inspiration, they still look to accomplish the goal of making the world around V feel that little bit more futuristic.

They’re pretty useful too, allowing you to check things like the weather forecast and how many unread messages you have at a glance, in addition to serving as a more immersive shutter control at certain apartments.

Assuming you’ve got NexusGuy999’s aforementioned ‘Stock Market and News System’ mod installed, which the modder highly recommends, the windows will also provide you with breaking news updates and a stock market trend graph that should change in real-time.

If that sounds like something your version of V needs in their life, you’ll first want to grab awpsoleet’s ‘Cyber Engine Tweaks’.
