Since Diablo 4 arrived early last month, those who approached it with the perfect build in mind have been making great progress towards their goal of burying Hell beneath a mountain of enemy corpses.
Ahead of the game’s first season, which has just kicked off, some of these hardcore hellspawn were busy creating tools to help players create parties, predict enchanting outcomes or grind dungeons efficiently.
While some have since had their anticipation for the Season of the Malignant severely dulled by a controversial patch and some frustrating bugs, one streamer has decided to use the new season as an opportunity to have a go at an interesting challenge.
Do you think you could beat any of Diablo 4 dungeons or bosses using a dance pad?
In their latest stream, the Twitch creator in question, Luality, kicked off an ambitious run that’ll see them try to master controlling their character using a dance pad.
As if that wasn’t already a difficult enough undertaking, the streamer is also playing on Hardcore mode, which means that any deaths they suffer will be permanent.
Thankfully, Luality is attempting the run, which will see them try to beat the game’s main campaign by defeating the infamous Lilith without suffering a single death, alongside a skeleton that can hopefully provide some emotional support.
“It’s really something how all of this works, but we’ll try to make it work, ok?” said the streamer, who, as you might have guessed, is using a Necromancer build that relies on summoning an army of skeletal minions for the run, before launching into the action.
Having already beaten Vhenard and reached the quest ‘Exhuming the Forgotten’ during an initial playing session of around six hours, Luality is trucking along pretty well so far.
Then again, they've previously beaten Elden Ring’s Malenia using motion controls and the exact same dance pad they’re using for this run, so they’re no stranger to challenges of this nature.
With a developer Campfire Chat discussing the game’s latest patch already confirmed for later today, hopefully those who’ve been put off by its changes, which you can read here, might be convinced to carry on dedicating their time to battling through Hell.
For players committed to waiting for further updates before they dive back in, watching Luality dance their way to victory seems like a good way to pass the time.
