Since they finally received the massive DLC announcement they’d all been craving, Elden Ring players have all been basking in the warm glow of knowing that work on the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is definitely underway.

For those who aren’t busy doing detective work to try and unearth clues as to what the DLC might involve, now is the perfect time to undertake an intense training regimen that’ll refresh and hone your skills in time for the expansion’s arrival.

If you’re in need of a way to spice up your boss battle prep sessions and don’t fancy trying out a first-person viewpoint, creating an intimidating build inspired by Skyrim’s Dragonborn or whipping out some zany Fortnite dances, you might want to take a look at the bizarre challenge run MissMikkaa’s just kicked off.

Are you handy enough at Elden Ring that you think you could successfully play it ET-style?

The streamer, who’s previously taken on two versions of the game simultaneously and used a guitar as a controller, began her latest unorthodox playthrough during a recent six-hour stream.

Before she loaded into the game, MissMikkaa showed off the controller she’d be using for the stream, revealing that she planned to try using her index finger first and admitting: “worst case scenario, I’m going to have to tape my hand or something (in order to avoid accidentally using other fingers).”

Having created a character with the rather dubious moniker ‘Finger Queen’, the streamer launched into the stream’s opening battle against a Tree Sentinel and died rather quickly.

Following a couple of hours of exploring and getting comfortable with the control scheme, she fared much better in the run’s first major boss fight against Margit and, after a couple of close calls, managed to beat the Fell Omen on her first attempt, as you can see in the clip below.

Next up on the kill list was Godrick the Grafted, who didn’t prove much more challenging despite the fact he possesses an awful lot of fingers across his multiple hands, also falling to MissMikkaa and the in-game finger weapon she’d fittingly adopted a short time into their first clash of the run.

The streamer’s next major challenge came from Rennala, whom MissMikkaa expected to take two attempts to best, but ended up requiring four, due to some trouble controlling the camera during the boss’ second phase.

Finally, the run ended with a string of fights against a Godskin Noble, whom the streamer couldn’t quite beat before deciding to call it day, though, given MissMikkaa’s history, odds are this hefty foe will quickly be overcome during her next stream of the run.
