Yes, you've read that right. A GTA V movie will come out before GTA 6, it's almost like the meme is taking itself seriously at this point. Titled Grand Theft Hamlet, this Grand Theft Auto movie currently has an impressive 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is made entirely within GTA.

Grand Theft Hamlet takes on an innovative approach to the Shakespeare classic. With no actual living actors portrayed and everything being shot within GTA V, Grand Theft Hamlet uses several familiar scenarios and mechanics in GTA Online.

The GTA movie features two struggling actors who are having the worst times of their lives amid the COVID-19 pandemic and sets off to find solitude within the chaos of Grand Theft Auto Online.

Many GTA and Shakespeare fans were amazed at the project film's trailer. Some say that Grand Theft Hamlet is a massive graphical upgrade to the classic theatre play, while others even tagged AMC Theaters.

X user @DiscussingFilm also shared the trailer for the GTA movie, and fans are saying that they actually received a GTA movie before the release of GTA 6, further cementing the psychological effect of the elusive GTA 6 trailer 2.

In other recent GTA news, GTA 6 has won the 2024 Game Awards for Most Anticipated Game and the community has been going ballistic since then. Rockstar employees have received several Christmas merch and some have posted this to their social media accounts, prompting the GTA community to speculate once again about the rumored release date of the new trailer this coming Christmas Eve or December 27.
