While some GTA players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to make the most of their remaining time in Los Santos.

After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, lack any hot takes regarding what it should include, and have given up on planning out your first playthrough, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?

While some players have been doing so by organising pranks, hosting demolition derbies, or nailing sick Scramjet stunts, others have gotten a little distracted trying to recall how they set up their character’s family tree when first arriving in Los Santos.

Do you remember who your GTA Online protagonist got their genes from?

Their ancestral angst forms the subject of a recent thread on the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from user hamzaaadenwala, who kicked things off by asking: “Who are your parents in GTA Online? Or (have) you (forgotten)!”

Some of their fellow criminals who opted to have inherited some previous entries in the series into their bloodline have seemingly kept in touch with their relatives over the years, with user RyudoTFO declaring: “Mine are Claude and Misty. GTA three gang (for) Life!” and Foxxie_ saying: “Misty and Niko, if I recall correctly.”

Others could only remember who they’d chosen to be their pops, with user P0loski recalling: “I picked (John) Marston too because I feel he's a good basis for a good/normal male face even (if you) tweak other features.”, while kermittehdog mused: “Every character I ever made had Niko as the dad.”

Sadly, plenty of those commenting weren’t at all sure who they’d opted to make their kin, with user HelpWonderful9480 lamenting: “Bro, that was like 10 years ago, I don’t remember.” and pattiwe exasperatedly asking: “Wait, we have parents!?”

Meanwhile, user 3DSD found the funny side of the situation, joking: “Yeah, I forgot, but everyone in the lobby seems to know my mom.”

Regardless of whether your GTA Online protagonist has neglected to share any of their ill-gotten gains with their family, make sure to follow us for more GTA 6 and GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
