The players of GTA Online can be serious people if you happen to catch them in the midst of grinding heists and fighting griefers, but they also know when to let loose their less sober side.
Sometimes this thirst manifests itself in the form of a rowdy pool party or just some minor bits of innocent fun, though, for some, it can only be quenched by a good old-fashioned game of dress-up.
This is seemingly what’s inspired one player to take on the guise of a cartoon legend, sparking a recent Reddit thread.
Johnny Bravo Infiltrates the GTAsphere
The thread concerning this in the GTA Online subreddit began with user EarthPuma120 sharing an image of their character dressed as infamous animated hunk Johnny Bravo, captioning it: “Hey gorgeous, I’m Johnny Bravo. How's about you and me going out on a date?”
A number of fellow players responded to the post with iconic Bravo quotes, with user Epotheros declaring: “Hello, 911 emergency, there's a handsome guy in my house. Oh wait, cancel that, it's only me.” and No_Comfortable_8852 adding a textbook “whoa, mama.”
Others remarked on details from the images of GTA Bravo in action, with one user saying: “the ‘Man, I’m Pretty’ organisation name absolutely makes this top tier” and Kisuke78 speculating that if any of the female NPCs featured agreed to a date with him, it would contain lots of flexing.
Meanwhile, user aothiik mused about the weirdness of Bravo’s nature, saying: “These comments are giving me a good laugh and reminding me how ridiculous his character really is. The bullwhipped karate chop noises are still crisp in my memory. Also, the thought of your character doing the same chopping action every time he runs into any female in the game is hilarious too.”
On the other hand, a few players pointed out some limits of GTA’s character creator which inhibit them from gaining the full Bravo-roleplaying experience, with Tweeter0583 arguing: “(the) GTA character creator makes it look more like Napoleon Dynamite cosplaying as Johnny Bravo....”
RAPTOR_948 recommended an improvement that could make the game more Bravo-friendly, saying: “If only they could let you pick a body type when customising your custom character. That Johnny Bravo vibe would have been perfect with a muscular bodybuilder type physique.”
