Want to know how to get your hands on some Blast Core in LEGO Fortnite? We're here to help.
The new LEGO-inspired building game within Fortnite has taken the community by storm, at times surpassing the player base seeing in the main battle royale modes, and with good reason.
To start building a decent base, you'll need Blast Core, one of the more important resources alongside Brightcore, especially when you've completed the earlier stages of construction.
In this guide, we'll tell you where to find Blast Core in LEGO Fortnite and what you need to farm it.
Where to farm Blast Core in LEGO Fortnite?
In order to obtain Blast Core, you will need to search for lava caves located in the desert biome. Unlike Bright Core, which requires a Rare Pickaxe, Blast Core can be obtained with any tool, but preferably a weapon.
This is because you'll have to defeat a few Lava Rollers to get the cores. These look like regular rocks while hidden or undisturbed so go around poking a few boulders inside the lava caves and you'll eventually run into them.
It's worth noting that going into places of extreme heat without being prepared could prove costly so we highly recommend you get enough food and items that prevent high temperatures from hurting you.
Early on in the more snowy biomes, you'll find berries that grant heat protection for a few minutes, but the best way to go about getting heat resistance is by equipping a Cool-Headed Charm which you can craft from your workbench.
What is the Blast Core used for in LEGO Fortnite?
Blast Core is a key component if you want to craft a Metal Smelter, a powerful tool that will let you access even better tools. In total this is what you'll need:
- 15 Brightcore
- 3 Blast Cores
- 35 Obsidian Slabs
