November 28, 2022: The Eevee Tera raids have now ended, but you can still find plenty in the wild!

Want to learn how to get Eevee evolutions in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? Eevee is one of the prominent Pokemon mascots, and it of course returns in Generation 9. If you need all of its evolutions to complete your Pokedex, you're in the right place!

Originating in Generation 1, Eevee has spread across the globe and is found in most regions that the Pokemon games have taken us to. A new generation wouldn't be the same without the fox-like critter, and all eight of its different evolutions are available to us once again.

To help you get started in the new region of Paldea, we recommend checking out how to get Herba Mystica and how to get Nature Mints. Check out our pages on possible DLC details for more, as well as a guide on how to farm EXP for levelling up!

How do I get the Eevee evolutions in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Eevee has eight evolutions, introduced over time into the franchise.

Each one has a different evolution method, which we will go over here. None of the evolutions requires Eevee to be at a specific level, so you can do them whenever you choose. First, you'll need to learn how to get Eevee. Then just follow the steps below to get your preferred Eevee evolution.

Flareon

Give an Eevee a Fire Stone. You can buy them from Delibird Presents for $3,000 or find them around the world.

Vaporeon

Jolteon

Leafeon

Give an Eevee a Leaf Stone. You can buy them from Delibird Presents for $3,000 or can be found as Pokeball-shaped drops in Tagtree Thicket.

Glaceon

Give an Eevee an Ice Stone. Ice Stones can be found as Pokeball-shaped drops on Glaceado Mountain.

Espeon

An Eevee will need to have a high friendship level with you. Then, level Eevee up during the day.

Umbreon

An Eevee will need to have a high friendship level with you. Then, level Eevee up during the night.

Sylveon

An Eevee will need to have a high friendship level with you, which you can do by using them in battle, walking with them, giving them attention at picnics, and by using items on them. Then, teach it a Fairy-Type move and level it up to have Eevee evolve into Sylveon.

To find out what friendship level you're at with your Pokemon, you'll need to find the Friendship Checker NPC. They can be found in Cascarrafa, in the main square, by the fountain.

The NPC has a Marill next to them, and a yellow speech bubble asking if you are friendly with your Pokemon. She won't give exact numbers, but when your Pokemon are high-level, she'll let you know.

Can I catch the Eevee evolutions in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Each of Eevee's evolutions can be found roaming Paldea, but are all very rare spawns. Note that Glaceon can only be found on the icy Glaceado Mountain. Most evolutions will appear in the following areas:

  • South Province (Area Six)
  • West Province (Area Three)
  • North Province (Areas One-Three)
