How to evolve Kirlia into Gallade in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
In order to evolve a Kirlia into a Gallade, you first have to catch a male Kirlia. This is the only way of getting one, as female Kirlias evolve into Gardevoir. A Ralts of any sex will evolve into a Kirlia, so pay attention before you catch it.
Once you have caught a Kirlia, give it a Dawn Stone as a held item. The next time it levels up with the Dawn Stole held, it will evolve.
Generally speaking, you should evolve Kirlia into Gallade as soon as possible. It replaces the Fairy typing to become a Psychic- and Fighting-type Pokemon with a huge focus on raw attack.
Is Gallade good in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?
As well as having high attack stats, Gallade has great special defence, making it really good against special Pokemon.
You can take advantage of their weak defense and strong special attack to charge through and take them down. Its unique typing and physical moves make it a threat against special Pokemon.
How to get Ralts in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Though you could get Ralts through trading with a friend in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the only way to get it in-game is via South Province (Area One). You will have to run around until it pop up in front of you in the wild.
If you want to skip that step and move straight in for Kirlia, you can find them by Porto Marinada, around Montenevera, and around Levincia.
Generally speaking, both Ralts and Kirlia are found around towns and cities. Ralts is generally rarer but can spawn by any. Kirlia, on the other hand, will only show up in outside those specific cities.
You can evolve your Ralts into Kirlia starting at level 20. Then, if you wish to get a Gardevoir instead, level it up to 30. Gardevoir is great in a different way to Gallade, so it can be worth getting both. Of course, you'll want both versions to complete your Pokedex!
