Each generation of Pokemon brings us a new, round Grass-type, and the Paldea games are no different. Let's look at how to evolve Smoliv in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet!

Paldea's new Pokemon are very fittingly designed around Spanish and Mediterranean culture, such as Smoliv, the Olive Pokemon. It arrives alongside long-overdue Tauros forms, and starters reminiscent of the local culture. In this guide, we'll go over what Smoliv evolves into, and how to do it.

Does Smoliv evolve in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Smoliv is a small, round, and adorable Grass- and Normal-type Pokemon. It is said that Smoliv's oil is incredibly bitter, and it uses this to ward off enemies. Smoliv also uses it to keep itself going without the need for food or water - just photosynthesis.

Smoliv has two evolutions: Dolliv and Arboliva. These haven't really been seen much, but some leaks have given us a glimpse at what they look like. Dolliv appears to be a small humanoid Pokémon, with olive shapes on the side of its head, and Arboliva is a taller humanoid still, but with long, branch-like arms that stick out to the side. These branches have fully ripened black olives on them.
