Startenders has just been announced and could just be one of the best VR indie games to date, and therefore, we can't wait for its release.

In short, what it allows you to do is tend bar in space whilst you have to memorise over 100 different recipes and serve customers their drink of choice. It may sound pretty easy, but from what we know right now, could present quite a fun challenge.

We're definitely excited for what's to come, especially since the game certainly sounds enjoyable, and it could even be one of the best VR games of the year if all goes right.

Here's what we know far.

When Is The Startenders Release Date?

Startenders has been confirmed to be released on March 17th on, PSVR, Oculus Quest 2, and the original Quest, too, as well as also for PSVR 2, which is intriguing.

It's also going to be released on PCVR headsets on Steam, although the Steam page for Startenders simply displays a tongue-in-cheek message of 'When we get this teleporter fixed' under the Release Date section at the moment.

As and when we hear more on the PC release date, we'll be sure to let you know.

Startenders Price

As we do know the game's release date on a variety of platforms, it also makes sense we're aware o Startender's price, at least for one platform.

For PSVR, the game will retail for £11.99/$14.99/€14.99, which makes it one of the more affordable VR games out there.

As for Quest 2, we aren't too sure, but it would make sense for Startender to retail for a similar price, as this would also sit well alongside many of the best Oculus Quest 2 games out there, including the likes of Beat Saber and Vacation Simulator.

Startenders Trailer

Alongside details of the game's announcement, Foggy Box Games also provided us with quite a neat trailer:

The trailer provides a look at what to expect from Startenders with an emphasis on its bright colours and fun bar-tending mechanic to serve the ship's inhabitants.

All in all, the game does look rather fun indeed, with plenty of different drinks to mix and customers to serve, and plenty of variation in shifts because they're procedurally generated.

This comes alongside other cool modes including a Daily Play which generates the same shift for all places in a battle to see how can get the highest score.

In addition, it looks like Startender may well become one of the best multiplayer VR games too given it'll feature a Pass The Headset social mode where you can take it in turn with others to play the same shift, and the winner is the player with the most tips.

Being released for Quest 2 could mean Startender is able to take advantage of headset features such as hand tracking so you could actually pick up glasses and mix drinks without the need for controllers.

We'll be back with you for more VR news, guides and info, but be sure to stick around as 2022 looks like a big year for hardware, especially with the potential release of PSVR 2 and Project Cambria.
