As we get nearer and nearer to April 2025, the rumored release of the Nintendo Switch 2, more leaks are emerging everywhere. New speculations indicate that Tekken 8 will be one of the three leaked Switch 2 launch titles once the console becomes available.
In an X post by @Bouboune0, they shared that Tekken 8, FIFA, and Red Dead Redemption 2 will be launch titles for the upcoming Switch 2. According to @Bouboune0, the games' EAN or European Article Numbers indicate that these titles now have barcodes corresponding to their physical copies and retail product type.
Considering how visually demanding these games are, especially Red Dead Redemption 2, the Nintendo Switch 2 having an AI upscaling technology now makes more sense. The next-gen handheld console is speculated to have performance capabilities similar to a PlayStation 4 Pro.

Fans who have been eagerly waiting for an announcement from Nintendo have been eagle-eyed for any leaks that should come out about the console. Genki, the gaming accessories manufacturer, had a booth during CES 2025 where they shared more details about the Switch 2 accessories and peripherals, including the new magnetic Joy-Cons.
While Red Dead Redemption 2 is speculated to arrive on the Nintendo Switch 2, some Rockstar Games fans are excited to see the game arrive on the Nintendo system if this would mean that the upcoming GTA 6 will also be available on the Nintendo Switch 2. Unfortunately, Rockstar Games were quiet throughout the community's theories as to when the Grand Theft Auto developer released GTA 6's trailer 2.
Meanwhile, Tekken 8 is confirmed to be a part of this year's EVO Championship, along with Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Fighting games enthusiasts will have a field day if Tekken 8 is released on the Nintendo Switch 2. It's just a matter of knowing whether the new Joy-Cons are durable enough for fighting games.
