Who is Cayde-6?
Cayde-6 was introduced back in the original Destiny as one of the main three key members of the Vanguard, an elite defense force that are tasked with protecting Earth's Last City.
Cayde's past if filled with mystery, as he admitted to lying about remembering his wife and son, only telling the player that he loved them very much.
His role in-game has differed from expansion to expansion, but initially, he played nothing much more than a comedic relief type of character while serving as an NPC at the Tower that could give you some bounties and quests.
With Destiny 2, Bungie took a more hands-on approach to the storytelling giving Cayde, and other characters, a much more fleshed-out personality, with millions of Guardians falling in love with his antics.
In 2018, when the Forsaken expansion was released, Bungie did something unimaginable: they killed off Cayde-6, making Uldren Sov the main antagonist of the DLC.
It wasn't for shock value, as the character remained out of the game for years. Well, he technically still is, but as we saw in the Final Shape teaser, he'll be making a return in some way, shape, or form.
His signature weapon, the Ace of Spades hand cannon, can be wielded by the player and in fact, we believe is one of the best PvP weapons in Destiny 2.
Who voices Cayde-6 in Destiny 2?
There have been two popular voice actors that have taken on the mantle of Cayde-6. First is prominent actor Nathan Fillion, who voiced Cayde-6 from the beginning until Forsaken, where he couldn't reprise his role due to prior commitments.
With the iconic DLC expansion, Nolan North took over from Fillion. Now that Cayde-6 is making a return, Bungie confirmed Nathan Fillion would be reprising the role once more.
