From hardware information to launch titles, the Nintendo Switch 2 seems to be the most leaked console in gaming history. It has been leaked so much that the community is joking that consumers will be able to get their hands on the console before Nintendo officially announces it.
Well, it seems like you can actually get one right now.
A known Apple leaker named Kang confirmed that the sought-after next-gen Nintendo console can now be yours by just purchasing one from a Chinese black market.
Posted on Reddit, u/Top_Bodybuilder_2126 shared a Discord screenshot where Kang confirms that the console was illegally available for accessories manufacturing. It makes sense that accessories manufacturers such as Genki would like to get hold of one of the actual consoles to manufacture accessories with accurate measurements.
However, getting a Nintendo Switch 2 via these black markets may not be what you think it is. So far, there are no leaks of the new console's UI or software, indicating that these contraband consoles have no operating system booted up and will not be able to play games, making it perfect for those who only need to see the physical features of the consoles.

Hardware reviewers, accessories manufacturers, and many other content creators who depend on the physical features of the console may not need to boot up Switch 2.
According to the French website Numerama, there were reports that Genki based their CES 2025 Switch 2 showcase on a Switch 2 console acquired via non-official means. Many fans are saying that Genki isn't partnered with Nintendo in any way, however, their means of obtaining a Switch 2 for accessories manufacturing purposes remains questionable.
So before you try to get on those shady links you'll find on the Internet claiming that you can get one before the Switch 2 release, think again. While the Switch 2 is confirmed to be backward compatible, having no operating system to run on will just result in you having a really nice and accurate-looking paperweight.
