While lots of them are keenly awaiting the arrival of more information about GTA 6, there are still plenty of criminals running around in GTA Online, chasing scores or just having fun.
A fair few of these veteran felons had hoped that June’s San Andreas Mercenaries update would help ignite a major resurgence for the game, but unfortunately many were left frustrated by the DLC’s removal of a massive array of vehicles from in-game websites.
Most of its weekly updates over the past few months have proven a bit hit and miss in terms of reception and while the latest seems to be going down pretty well overall, one aspect of it is earning some pretty unfavourable reviews.
Have you tried out GTA Online’s Weaponized Conada helicopter yet?
Within this most recent array of tweaks and additions to the game came the arrival of a new helicopter players can buy from Warstock Cache & Carry. Dubbed the ‘Weaponized Conada’, the chopper will set you back a cool $3.3 million.
Since the update’s arrival, a number of players have taken to Reddit to share their verdicts on the aircraft and unfortunately, it seems that the majority don’t think its offerings stack up very well.
“This thing is legitimately useless,” declared user BurningPhoenix000 in a thread kicked off another player’s negative review of the chopper, continuing: “I can't think of a single scenario you might find yourself in where one of the other weaponized helicopters that are available wouldn't be more useful.”
They cited the Conada’s seating capacity, overall performance, and weapons as all being in need of improvements, especially given the fact that it costs almost double the price of the ever-popular Buzzard attack helicopter.
The lack of damage inflicted by the helicopter’s twin machine guns seems, aside from the price, to be the aspect of it that’s drawing the most ire from players. One has even gone as far as putting together a video showing how long it took for them to destroy a garbage truck using it in comparison to the Buzzard.
“Other than not having a tail rotor, there [are] only two positives I can find for it,” declared user TheRealChexHaze in that first thread. “[Its] climb rate, which is actually pretty good, and a slight edge in speed, mainly because of the climb rate. But, I'm with everyone else. This is a toy for the rich.”
In addition to the Conada, this week’s update brings a new Adversary Mode to the game called Assault on Cayo Perico, which sees “teams of attackers and defenders clash over control of the island paradise.” You can find the full details on it here.
Regardless of whether you’re planning on adding the Conada to the collection of expensive aircraft in your hangar this weekend, make sure to follow us to receive regular updates on GTA 6 and GTA Online as new vehicles and more arrive.
