While they may not have gotten the massive DLC announcement they all crave yet, Elden Ring players have still had new content to dig into, with the long-awaited Colosseum DLC providing a fresh challenge for many who now consider traditional boss battles to be old news.
That said, sometimes even the acts of butchering an endless supply of bloodthirsty fellow players or emulating runs through the game on guitar or using voice control by streamers like MissMikkaa and Larxa can get a bit stale and drab.
Perhaps this is why some of those living la vida loca in The Lands Between have taken a bit of a break over the weekend to revel at a re-creation of one of the game’s most iconic locations in Far Cry 5.
What do you think of this version of Elden Ring’s Gatefront Ruins?
The architect of this picture-perfect portrayal of the game’s Gatefront Ruins, which can be found in Limgrave and serves as the location of the site of grace where you can first encounter Melina, is YouTuber Mojo Swoptops.
They’ve previously wowed Starfield and Skyrim fans with reimaginings of interstellar gameplay reveals and the city of Riften, and, as you can see in the showcase video below, their latest creation is of similar quality.
“The entire scene took around three hours to create using Far Cry 5's in-game map editor on Xbox Series X.” explained Mojo Swoptops in the comments of their post about the project on Elden Ring’s subreddit.
The tarnished in the thread were pretty big fans of their creation, with user PogmasterTraplover69 saying: “Daaaaamn, so cool, I instantly recognized it! Really well done!” and Alfaale declaring: “It is a work of art.”
Meanwhile, user wetpastrami suggested a number of other locations from the game that they thought might make good FPS maps, including The Shaded Castle, Nokron and Sellia, while Martholomule mused: “(I) wish I could actually play through Elden Ring as the Far Cry guy. Just (having) a rifle would be nice, actually.”
