While some GTA Online players are already looking forward to GTA 6, others are still trying to enjoy everything that Los Santos has to offer by spending all of their hard-earned cash, trying to work out the history of Cayo Perico, or becoming a lifeguard in story mode.
After all, if you don’t enjoy trying to predict what the next game’s map will look like, lack any hot takes regarding what or who it should include, and have given up on planning out your first playthrough, why not just try to appreciate the final stretch of GTA Online?
It seems that some players are doing just that by abandoning their penthouses in the city of Los Santos in favour of a humble abode and a quiet life out in the wilds of Blaine County.
Have you invested in any property outside of GTA Online’s metropolis?
This trend forms the subject of a recent thread on the GTA Online subreddit, which began with a post from user PrklCovfefe, who shared a snap of their bearded biker standing outside of their house near the Alamo Sea, captioning it: “Took my things and moved to Sandy [Shores].”
One of their fellow criminals was quick to ask which property they’d invested in and what had motivated them to do so, leading PrklCovfefe to reveal: “It's the only house you can buy in Sandy Shores. I can hear Trevor shouting at Ron from here,” and to answer: “I guess it was the weather.”
However, user BeguiledBF, an apparent real estate expert, suggested that those seeking an isolated refuge from bright lights and endless asphalt might want to consider other locations instead, claming: “You know, Paleto Bay is a pretty nice place. Not much more expensive than Sandy [Shores] and has a thriving community thanks to the Clucking Bell factory. Lots of work! I might suggest moving there. Sandy [Shores] is just a dying community these days.”
User RealGingercat227 seemingly confirmed at least part of this assertion, saying: “I’ve been living in Paleto Bay for nearly a month now and I’m loving the peace and quiet.”
Meanwhile, user freaky_robot_999 suggested that retiring to the sticks has become a bit of a recurring motif among seasoned players, saying: “The second to last stage of every gta online [sic] player who's done with the grind [is] leaving everything behind and moving to the desert.”
Regardless of whether you’re currently viewing houses in the Paleto area and trying to find one with a 20 car garage, make sure to follow us for more GTA 6 and GTA Online updates as new vehicles and more arrive.
